Aw, I think it's cute! But I know what you're going through - my family "commission" (e.g. they buy the canvas but don't actually pay me) for my paintings. My guidance is typically something like 'I don't like green', or 'i want it to match my living room'. So I go and spend a few weeks on a painting and sometimes they end up hating it. I guess I'd rather them be honest than pretend to like it - but I agree with the first commenter, if you're going to be picky, then you need to clearly define what you want!

I think it is cute! I just got on your page because my students are reading a story called "The Keeping Quilt", so I am going to show them some of your pics so they understand what a quilt is and how it is made. But while I was at it, I had to weigh-in in favor of the poky puppy. :)

You're right, you can't win them all. It would have been more helpful if your mom had given you more direction about what she really wanted. I think the quilt turned out cute and somebody will love it I am sure. I have made quilts that just didn't work out, I think we all have. It is just part of being a quilter unfortunately. Start a new quilt and quit worrying about that one. There's always next time.
